The hourly mean geodetic water level, flood return period(s) & estimated flood onset for the Ottawa River at Cumberland gauge (RVCA-CUMBERLAND). Gauge owned/operated by the RVCA with support from the City of Ottawa. Flood return periods have been derived from the RVCA Ottawa River Flood Risk Mapping Report (Shirley's Bay to Cumberland, 2014), Cross-Section: Ottawa-Reach1-1007. Flood onset levels for Boise Village / Morin Rd region represent the estimated threshold at which homes or infrastructure may be subject to flooding. Peak levels from the 2017 and 2019 freshet events have been estimated from City of Ottawa staff gauge records and RVCA geodetic surveys.
